I have a oversized wall clock and the outer circle part is plastic. It’s black and I want to paint it a rustic brown or something, can this be done?

Yes…they make special spray paint for plastic. Just follow the directions.

Yes. Lots of good options. Go to your paint center and ask the counter-person for a recommendation… or the craft store. Look in the aisle where they sell paint for models. Likely a light sanding to rough the finish, a good primer to increase adhesion, and an oil-based top coat. OR, mask it well and use a decent spray paint. (Many light coats rather than one heavy coat.) It might not be super-durable, but it should work well to hang on the wall. Oh, and you may want to look at adding a protective top-coat of clear sealant once you have the new color.
Yes, but you have to use the right kind of paint. You can’t use wall paint or it will peel off in like 3 days max.
sure, Spray paint called Krylon. Available at Lowes, Home Depot, Meards, and good hardware store.

Yeah, I have the same clock, but for all the time and effort it would take – I would just go out and buy another clock in brown just because it is cheaper and so much less of a hassle
